HOURS
Our office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. With the exception of emergencies, patients are seen by appointment only. | | APPOINTMENTS
At Orthopedics Northwest, we see patients by appointment, which can be made by calling the practice or at the time of check-out when leaving the practice. We make every effort to see patients in a timely fashion but due to the nature of orthopedics, our physicians are sometimes called to treat emergencies, and some patient's problems demand more than the anticipated time. This could result in a waiting time longer than ideal. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you. The same staff members make all new patient appointments so we have consistency of information. |
TELEPHONES
Our telephone system is designed to be as user friendly as possible and your call can be handled more expeditiously if you will keep in mind some important facts:
* Calls for other than appointments will be transferred to the physician of your choice. Be prepared to discuss your medical problem or question with the doctor's assistant. He/She may be able to handle the matter after consulting with the doctor. If an assistant is not able to take your call, you may leave a message on Voice Mail. These calls will be returned at either the end of the morning or afternoon.
* Obviously, urgent or emergency calls are accepted at all hours by the doctor on call. In the event of an emergency after hours, please call our office. The answering service will contact the doctor on call if the office is closed. | | FEES and INSURANCE
We make every effort to hold down the costs that are unrelated to the delivery of quality health care. We have a fee structure that is based on standards within the community and our specialty. Fees will vary with severity and complexity of the problem. Please remember that insurance companies frequently set allowables that are below our customary charges. We have participating agreements with several insurance plans in the valley and will honor those fee schedules.
We will collect all co-payments at the time of your visit. Unless you have made prior arrangements, you are responsible for our usual and customary fees. We encourage you to take care of your charges at the time service is rendered, to the extent that they will not be covered by insurance. Our Patient Account Representatives in our Billing Department are always available to help you in any way they can. Please call the Billing Department during regular business hours with questions.
Please remember that insurance is considered a method of reimbursing you for fees you pay to the doctor and is not a substitute for payment. We will, however, as a service to our patients file your insurance claims for you. |
REFILLS
If you have prescriptions that need to be refilled, please contact your pharmacy so they can fax the refill request to us. The written process helps to ensure that there is no miscommunication regarding your medication. Your pharmacist may not be able to reach your physician immediately. Please allow 24-72 hours for a refill to be approved. We recommend you call at least one week ahead of time to ensure that you don't run out of your medication. |
FINALLY . . . Our primary purpose is to provide you with quality care, in pleasant surroundings, with courtesy and understanding. Our success can be measured only by your satisfaction with the health care you receive. We welcome your comments as to how we may, in any way, satisfy your medical needs. |
